What services do you offer?

We provide custom plans for barndominiums. This includes homes, event centers, churches and equestrian facilities. For local clients around Oklahoma City area, we provide a subscription service for construction management. If you have an existing home, we can also provide renovation plans.

 

What is included in the consultation meeting?

It includes a 30 minute consultation with Greg or Lance, either in person or virtually. We will do our best to answer all of your questions about your project and clarify the process along the way. If you would like to have an additional consultation or to discuss a project outside of purchasing Bid Set Plans, they can be scheduled for the following: $179 - 45 min, $250 - 45 min (Saturday). 

How long does it take to get a set of plans?

On average, it takes about 60-90 days to receive your plans, but this of course can vary depending on multiple factors.

Do you provide an architectural stamp for your plans?

No, we just provide the design as we are not architects. I am self taught with over 35 years in commercial and residential construction. 

Are the engineer plans included? 

We can provide engineering plans for an additional cost as well as HVAC and framing plans. 

Do you handle permits and other regulatory issues?

No.

Is there an expiration date on the plans?

No.

Do you design plans throughout the US?

Yes, we serve every state in the U.S. as well as Canada.

Can you design on an existing foundation and/or structure?

Yes, we do remodeling on existing homes.

 

Do you need to have land before starting the design process?

No, that is not required as far as creating the design.

 

Do you build in every state?

We only provide construction management services for local projects.

 

Do you need to know building sizes before starting the design?

No. We can help you determine the size of the structure based on your needs and wants.

 

Are barndominiums energy efficient?

Yes, as with any structure if they are designed properly.

 

Are these plans transferable? 

No. The plans are property of Greg James Designs, LLC. We grant permission to build one home or building for the client the plans were sold to.
